Walden Announces New Concorda Orchestra Body Type

(January 2009) Walden Guitars is very pleased to introduce the new CO500 high gloss orchestra body type acoustic guitar. With a shape that is slightly smaller than Walden’s “G” body shape, the “O” body is highly popular among finger-stylists and younger players. The CO500’s shallower depth contributes to the guitar’s focused voice while retaining volume and harmonic complexity.

American Luthier, Division Manager and Chief Designer, Jonathan Lee said, “With the addition of an OM shaped guitar to our gloss Concorda line in the affordable 500 series, Walden has an instrument that is charming in both voice and appearance.”

Solid Sitka Spruce top and Rosewood back and sides provide the elegance. Micro-dot fingerboard position markers and a dual ringed inlaid wood rosette of Maple and Mahogany provide a charming intimacy to the guitar’s appearance. Championed by a gorgeous high gloss finish, the CO500 looks spectacular and has a strong and detailed character.
