Dreadnought body shape
The Dreadnought body design dates back to the early 1900s. This grandfather of modern guitar body shape is respectfully represented by the Walden Dreadnought. It delivers the powerful bass, round mids, and crisp trebles expected from this body shape. With any wood combination, the Dreadnought is a big guitar with a big voice. |

Grand Auditorium body shape
Walden's proprietary Grand Auditorium body is an elegant, stylish guitar. With a slightly
wider lower bout than our traditional Dreadnought and a narrower waist and upper bout,
the Grand Auditorium speaks with ample bass balanced by clear and brilliant trebles.
Inviting and wonderfully playable, the Grand Auditorium's rounded contours are visually
pleasing
and comfortable in your arms. |

Orchestra Model body shape
Walden's "O" body OM guitar is reminiscent of the pre-war guitar for which it
is named. Smaller than our "G" body shape, the O body is popular among finger-stylists
and female players. A shallower side depth makes it easier to play and contributes to
its focused voice, great for a studio "tracking" instrument. |

Travel Guitar body shape
The "T" body shape is a 7/8 sized guitar with a 24.2" scale length. The
short scale contributes to its easy playability. Similar to a parlor guitar with a slightly
wider lower bout, the T is braced appropriately for its shape and produces surprising
volume. It has a focused voice, making it particularly pleasing as a solo-lead instrument. |

Torres-Hauser
inspired Fan bracing
d'Antonio Torres and Hermann Hauser built
some of the greatest guitars of all time.
Two of their guitars provided the inspiration
behind Walden's SupraNatura and Natura
fan bracing: the 1888 Torres played by
Francesco Tarrega and the 1937 Hauser
played by Andrea Segovia. In the most active location of the soundboard where most of
the classical guitar's voice originates, brace dimensions,
measurements and angles have been carefully reproduced. In the area most likely to change
from the rigors of climate change (under the fingerboard extension), transverse bracing
is strengthened to increase stability. |

Satin Nitrocellulose Lacquer
Nitrocellulose lacquer is made from plant fiber. Because it can vibrate along with the moving soundboard, it has been the finish material of choice among the best luthiers since the late 1800s. A satin finish allows for the application of a thin coat, transferring more energy into creating beautiful music. A satin finish is also smoother than a glossy finish which can sometimes feel sticky. this allows the musician to play with greater ease and speed. |

Semi-Gloss Nitrocellulose Lacquer
Some people like it glossy. High-gloss nitrocellulose
lacquer finishes are only available on the
world's most expensive instruments and rightly
so, given the intensive work needed to produce
a high-gloss finish. Walden's semi-gloss provides
the musician with a gloss lacquer finish at
an affordable price. |
