"The CG2000CEQ has all the tonal richness, zing and natural compression of a posh American spruce/rosewood guitar. The response is punchy and LOUD when I dig in - rich bass, clear mids and bright, balanced highs. I love the fact that the Grand Auditorium size has all the OM's punch and definition for fingerpicking but its deeper body gives a little more oomph when a plectrum is used."

Peter Brown's Fancy

PJ's professional career began backing American "oldie" acts touring Europe, eg. Bobby Vee, Del Shannon, the Coasters. After some time in USA with singer/songwriter Ali Thomson he spent twenty years as lead guitarist with the legendary Steve Gibbons Band.

Since 1999, he has been lead vocalist and electric guitarist with the five-piece folk-rock band, Little Johnny England, appearing at many concert venues and festivals throughout the UK, continental Europe and the USA. PJ is also a member of The Dylan Project, with Steve Gibbons, Phil Bond and Fairport Convention's rhythm section, Gerry Conway and Dave Pegg.

PJ's serious involvement with the acoustic guitar dates from the critically acclaimed solo album "Hedge of Sound" and subsequent Fairport Winter Tour as their opening act in 2006. Ever since, he has toured and recorded with Dave Pegg as the occasional duo "A Night off with Peggy & PJ." Session work on pedal steel and slide guitar, solo gigs and, more recently, the acoustic jazz/folk project Fifteen String Trio are keeping him busy enough!
