Artist: Bern PizzitolaBern plays a G3030CE. Aside from being such a gorgeous instrument, I purchased this specific model for the tone of the cedar top as I have always played a nylon classical instrument more than steel string and prefer a slightly softer and darker voice... also especially because the wider nut width is very comfortable for finger picking. I'm more used to Nylon Classical widths and my 12 string guitars which also have wide neck and string spacing. Jumping from my classical to more narrow steel string spacings was always awkward for me. Not so with this guitar. It's ideal. I often tune it down a step to bring out a lower timbre. Using a capo to raise it where needed for vocals. In the open tunings, i.e. for ambient pieces and slide... it's doing it all. I do prefer a little taller fret profile (as I'm used to refretting my other instruments with taller wire for my blues approach with bending etc.) but no criticism here as I've gotten used to it and find the lower frets more practical when using a slide on the very low string height...so now I can leave my dobro home and use this for everything.
