Call You Mine
Clever Move
At the age of 11 Jörg Christiani began playing guitar, starting on a classical guitar and later switching to both acoustic and electric guitars. At the age of 15, having been touched by the music of Chuck Berry, Jörg began his musical journey as a Rock'n'Roller. For years, the electric guitar was his main instrument, playing for several bands as songwriter and musical mastermind. He performed throughout Germany sharing club dates and festivals with bands such as 3 Colors Red, The Yayhoos, The Datsuns, Dan Baird (Georgia Satellites), Donots, Pennywise and Mando Diao. During those days, his acoustic guitar was his song writing tool and the instrument he enjoyed playing when relaxing in private. In 1995, at a competition sponsored by the West German Broadcasting Corporation WDR Jörg performed his acoustic finger-style arrangement of the Rolling Stones song, "The Spider and the Fly." He received the Ron Wood Signature Model that Ron had played during the Rolling Stones Voodoo Lounge tour. In 1996, Jörg completed his first album comprised of his own songs, and recorded CDs with producer Siggi Bemm (Carl Carlton, Bela B and others). Jörg went on to later to win the German "Titus – Battle of the Bands" at the skate board world championship in Dortmund Westfalenhallen besting 600 other bands. Jörg's band at time, TheSpacebrains, finally broke up, ushering in the beginning of a whole new era for Jörg. Jörg started to write songs, regardless of band members and concepts, and realized every musician's dream of releasing his own collection of songs under the Hazelwood label (Mardi Gras BB, King Khan & BBQ). You can hear virtuoso finger-picking and percussive strumming. Jörg wants just one thing: to write songs, both the lyrics and music. |
